Speke’s Mill is located at the border of Devon and Cornwall, near Hartland Point. There’s no doubt that this stretch of coastline is absolutely breathtaking. Towering cliffs, sharp jagged rocks and the full brunt of the Atlantic can be experienced here – and many ships have unfortunately been wrecked in the past. It isn’t exactly a beach for sunbathing and paddling, it’s a place to feel immersed in incredible scenery and admire the lively waterfall. Said waterfall cascades down a breathtaking 60 feet cliff face and is truly stunning. Surfers come and take advantage of the strong waves that break over the reef, and are well warned of its challenge. But, if you feel like experiencing a beautiful piece of coastal history here, Speke’s Mill is a must.
