Bossington Beach is a beach in Somerset, England.

This magnificent pebbled shore is surrounded by rural fields and tucked between the hills of Exmoor Coast. With a steeply sloping shingle bank as its border to the Bristol Channel, the River Horner flows through the valley from Bossington but never quite makes it to the ocean. At times, though, the river does manage to escape the strand of shingle, albeit scarcely detectable. Exploring Bossington Beach is an illustrious experience. Not only is the backdrop of the beach breathtaking, the marshland residing there is home to an array of distinctive fowl and bugs, along with the remnants of various historic happenings like pillboxes from World War II and lime kilns used in the cultivation of crops. It’s important to note that the swells along the coast are particularly potent, making swimming is an unsafe venture. The pebbles found along the beach have also been divided in order of size, with smaller stones forming ridges close to the beach crest. The National Trust owns this splendid shore and it is part of the Holnicote Estate. The car park in the nearby village is the top spot to park your car if you’re intending to visit, just a mere half a mile from the beach. With its thatched cottages, tall chimneys and gardens full of blooms, Bossington is a classic illustration of an English country village.
