Worbarrow Bay is one of the hidden gems of the renowned Dorset Purbeck Coast. Located not far from the abandoned town of Tyneham, the bay is only accessible via a short walk across Ministry of Defence land, thus making it quite secluded (mostly weekends only). The beach is a sweeping crescent ending in a cliff of white chalk and sandstone at one side, while the other is known as Cow Corner for no reason in particular. This area is known for it’s geological importance, with fossils of dinosaurs and other animals to be seen. Swimming is allowed as long the current is checked, but there are no lifeguards on duty here. Worbarrow Bay is a perfect spot if you are looking for a quiet, unspoilt beach.
