Weymouth Beach is a beach in Dorset, England.

Weymouth Beach is a stunning, crescent of sandy shoreline which lies just off the town centre, with Weymouth pier located at the southern tip. In the summer months, visitors can take advantage of the safe, shallow waters and enjoy everything from swimming and pedalos to donkey rides, Punch and Judy shows and more. The promenade is broad and flat and boards are ready to take you to the beach. There is special disabled parking and even free hire of a beach wheelchair from the Office. Choosing the right spot is no problem – you can rent windbreaks, deckchairs and umbrellas. Rejuvenate your energy with something delicious from the range of eateries. Weymouth Pier is a great place for families to explore. Throughout the summer, look out for the mini-train which takes visitors on a journey of discovery. Lifeguards, beach attendants, a First Aid point and a Lost Children service are on duty from 1 May and run through until the end of September. Not only that, there are public toilets, accessible toilets, baby changing facilities and free showers. You’ll also find special seasonal events such as sports, festivals and sand sculpture competitions, as well as fireworks in the summer. To ensure the beach remains in its best condition, animal lovers should take note that dogs are not allowed on the central beach from Good Friday through to the end of October. Instead head to the Pavilion for an allocated dog exercise area. For anyone looking for a safe and fun beach day, Weymouth ticks all the boxes with its Blue Flag and Seaside Awards accolades, as well as its Marine Conservation Society recommendations.
